Each collection is conceived in Antwerp, a city synonymous with diamond heritage and creative edge, and brought to life by master goldsmiths in Arezzo, Italy, a Tuscan town with a centuries-old tradition of exceptional metalwork.

The founder
Amante Antwerp was founded in 2020 by Ellen D'Hondt, creative director, visionary and the driving force behind every piece. Ellen set out to build something the jewelry world was missing: a luxury label with genuine edge. One that speaks to women who refuse to blend in, who layer their chains with intention and wear their confidence like a second skin.
At the heart of her work lies a commitment to timeless design and conscious creation. No fast fashion. No seasonal throwaways. Every Amante piece is built to become a permanent fixture in your wardrobe and your life.

We are not interested in greenwashing. We are interested in choices that hold up under scrutiny. Every supplier in our chain is REACH compliant; meaning no harmful heavy metals, no restricted chemicals, nothing that should not be touching your skin or entering the world.
REACH is the European Union's most rigorous chemical safety framework (Regulation EC 1907/2006). It restricts substances like nickel, lead and cadmium in jewellery and accessories; the very materials that come into daily contact with your body. For us, compliance is not a badge. It is the baseline.

OUR LEATHER
The story behind
Mastrotto leather
When we chose leather for our accessories, we chose deliberately. Our leathers come from Gruppo Mastrotto an Italian tannery founded in 1958, now one of the most respected names in responsible leather production worldwide.
Mastrotto leather is a by-product of the food industry hides that would otherwise become organic waste are transformed into a durable, natural, biodegradable material. Over 93% of processing waste is recovered and redirected to other industries. Their Italian facilities run entirely on certified renewable electricity, and hides are fully traceable, ensuring no material comes from areas of illegal deforestation.
We chose Mastrotto because we believe in durability over disposability. A leather piece from Amante is not meant to last one season. It is meant to travel with you softening, deepening, becoming yours over time.

Our leather is fully traceable, from the source to your hands, with no blank spaces in between. We choose suppliers the way we choose everything else: for how they treat the planet and the people on it, not just the number at the bottom of a quote. It costs more to do it this way. We've never once regretted it.
